Beautiful seacapes and downland, together with historic villages and towns make the Bosham area a great place to explore. Within easy reach by car of the holiday accommodation are:

Chichester
Chichester, one of the oldest Roman Cities in England is an interesting city to explore and it has a host of shops and restaurants. There are the enchanting Bishop's Palace gardens, a visit to the cathedral, an excellent theatre and guided walks along the ancient city walls to keep you entertained. Chichester Harbour is a National Trust Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

West Wittering is a stunning beach, with wonderful views of the sea and the South Downs. It is a blue flag beach and makes a lovely day out.

A very short drive from Bosham is The Roman Palace, built in the 1st Century AD. You can explore the remains of the largest remaining Roman domestic building in Europe. There are daily guided talks, childen's activities in the school holidays and a cafe.

Goodwood racecourse

With the golf course, Festival of Speed, Race Week and regular events, Goodwood is a popular destination for visitors. They also offer a selection of driving and aviation experiences.

West Sussex and Hampshire Villages
There are a collection of historic villages in the area, including Westbourne, Emsworth, Bosham and East and West Ashling. There are some pretty country pubs and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants to suit all budgets. Bosham is a very picturesque Saxon village with church, which was mentioned in the Bayeux Tapestry.

Arundel's magnificent castle is another great day out. While there you can also walk along the river Arun, visit the Cathedral or Arundel Wetland Centre and enjoy a meal in the many cafes, restaurants or pubs.

Chichester Canal runs from the centre of Chichester to Chichester Harbour. You can walk along the towpath, take a boat trip or hire a rowing boat. There is a visitor centre and places to buy refreshments.

Portsmouth Historic dockyard is situated within a working Naval Base and it has a host of attractions including several museums, HMS Victory, harbour trips and the Mary Rose. Close by there is great shopping and a wide range of restaurants.
